Conference 10:00am-6:00pm

In 2009, fashion bloggers came under the media spotlight. Our readership has grown and our influence has expanded to the point where high-profile brands increasingly seek us out. We’ve expanded the possibilities of online conversation well beyond anyone’s imagination.  So what next? How do we handle success?  IFB — with the help of American Express, G-Star RAW and ModCloth — is proud to present EVOLVING INFLUENCE, a conference for fashion bloggers to discuss where we go from here.

The Future of Fashion Blogging

5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Getting past the hype … Many of today’s great fashion bloggers started out with a passion and an obsessive nature. Now, some are them are seated front row and featured in the press. Do the news stories give a distorted view of “overnight” success? What happens tomorrow? Discussion topics include:

• How has blogging changed our lives?
• The blogging hype … is it good for our community? for our blogs?
• Professional vs. personal blogger
• Staying inspired in the long run

  4. Great idea but wondering why in the world it’s being scheduled during fashion week?!?

  6. wow, this is amazing, how all your work has lead to such a great event! If there is another one nearer to me I will be there…x

  7. Being on the West coast and having a day job, still, is killing me! I sooo wish I could be there. Any way it’s going to be streamed? Available for download? I’ll pay.

  8. This looks fantastic!! I can’t wait to go!

  9. Ah, I have school and work but I am soooo trying to clear my scheddy for this!

  10. Now that’s worth jumping on a plane for, thanks so much Jenine! x

  11. I could not be MORE excited!! Thank you thank you! Amazing list of panelists.
    xo

  12. this does look amazing! like others suggested, i would pay to download the transcript/video afterwards! or what if you did a mini-tour and stopped in boston? hehe..

  13. Wow I really want to come. It’s on Presidents day isn’t it? I think I have the day off…

  14. This is so wonderful — Just the people I would so love to meet but…. What about all the Fashion Week shows I have to sacrifice ??? Why did you choose the middle of fashion week? Is there a half day registration? Maybe I could do that -

    :(

  15. This is probably a silly question but minors may rsvp, right? Also, I’m not from the area so any suggestions as to how to kill the hour in between each panel?

  16. Now I wish I were coming to New York Fashion Week! Will the different seminars be podcast?

  17. I feel so sad that I wouldn’t be able to be there:( I hope it will be streamed

  18. Please PLEASE STREAM!!!!!
I really want to go! Re open registration too please!

  19. Just registered TWICE & donated and still not receiving a conf. email after 24 hours…something’s up!

  20. I have registered 2 times & donated and still not receiving a conf. email after 24 hours. And I do not see the list on the site. Can you please let me know who is on the list?

  21. Hey guys…just chiming in since Jennine is super slammed with event planning. Stay tuned for email confirmations, etc. We are looking into a few ways to add more space for people that are on waiting list…spread the word about donations and maybe we can make it happen!! Thanks for being patient!

  22. Oh and for those who cannot attend in person…we’ve been looking into streaming options. :)

  23. Streaming would be amazing! Especially if space is limited.
    Great job guys!!!

  24. This is great!..i’m liking the 1-4pm time slots…

  25. I wish I were able to attend! Thank you Jennine and everyone for putting their best efforts forward to show how savvy and influential bloggers who are dedicated to their craft are.

  26. I sooooo wish I weren’t halfway down the east coast because I would absolutely love to come to this. I would also be willing to make the suggested donation for a podcast. I know it’s not easy to organize streaming audio/video (and it would be nice to watch at my convenience later), so a podcast made available within a couple days of the event would be fantastic.

    Please, please, please?!

    Thanks!

  27. Hi there,

This event sounds great! I had also registered twice but haven’t received any confirmation and am wondering if either I haven’t been registered at all or if my credit card has been charged twice but it’s not reflected on this website but will be once I check my online statement? Please help, thanks!

    Lori

  28. God, what an amazing event, I wish I could be there. Any chance of it coming to London? I would love to help to organise it.

  29. Wow this is great. I wish I could have come along, but great to have the live streaming instead

  30. where is the video of this please ?

    thanxx
